"sent pictures to women who posed as users as part of a tabloid newspaper sting operation"

I realise he is a public servant but is there not more important news for them to focus on

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

The man who told the charity sector that all they do is is knitting.

This was a storyline on Scandal, wasn't it?

Already replaced by Rob Wilson - I've never heard of him! I guess charities and social enterprises won't be much featured in the next manifesto.

It seems someone called Reckless has joined UKIP from the Conservatives too.

A good start to conference then.

Buried along with the investigation into how a new charity with no track record, created just to promote the idea, was given money from government and Lottery at a time of austerity and cuts to existing charities actually delivering real work.

The thing that shocks me most in the Mirror articles, apparently the picture showed him 'exposing him self while wearing paisly pyjamas' - I mean seriously?

Slightly more odd, and shocking journalism from The Mirror is that they feel the need to mention only one charity. The Girl Guides.

I haven't read any of the articles. I saw it on TwitTwat. Yes, why mention The Girl Guides when there are 170k others to choose from?

I wonder if this story brewing is the reason for his cancellation of some high profile engagements recently?

The Mirror is defending it's honey trap.

I don't condone what the Mirror has done but how stupid of Newmark to flash his todger to any unknown person online.

His would have to be one of those profiles with the "I can't send pictures because of my job" disclaimers. In his position he was being daft.

Ok, so the MP is silly prick.

But there are other aspects to this story worth considering.

There is debate that the journo and The Mirror may have committed an offence under the 2003 Sexual Offences Act. *

They have also breached the IP rights of the women involved in the photo's, somewhat "pimping" them out in the process.

Look at the positives though :

a) He isn't a Home Secretary claiming fraudulent expenses for the real thing.

b) he wasn't tempted with nude pics of Theresa May. That would have been offensive.

* interesting also that it is a practice often found on this site. Anyone wanting a link to a legal blog pm me.

The picture of him in the classic married man pose of a naked selfie in the bathroom is going to haunt me. There should have been some sort of warning.
