To be honest, a phrase like 'older men' alone is really off-putting for me. I don't act or think like an 'older woman', the more energy I expend the younger I feel, and the 'glass of red and DVD on the sofa' crowd on dating sites have always sent me running for the hill (well, dancing, swimming, riding or skiing there anyway!)
I could not cope with any kind of 'I'm getting old' mentality, it would drive me nuts, shoot, save that for your seventies or even eighties!
So the men I meet are virtually always younger than me, sometimes considerably so.

Marginally better, but it's still an anathema to me. I may answer a thread about mature women, but I would never describe myself as such initially, I see no need to.
As I say, there's something in the need to declare it that in itself I find unattractive, it almost says to me 'I can't compete with 'Men' any more, so I'm going to create myself a smaller pool'. |
