Think of block button as a filter. People that don't want to meet you or people that you wouldn't like.

Being blocked ain't the end of the world.

I once received a wink and then between the time it took me to look to see who winked they had blocked me!

I often ponder what went on in their mind...

00:01 - Oh God, what made me do that, I never wink, fuck what shall I do?

00:02 - I fucking hate that fucking fuck for making me wink, I never show weakness like that usually.

"some people ask for pics then block so they dont have to send theirs back."

If they've seen your pic then blocked you, take it as a hint they don't fancy you. Simples

Worry more about what you can control over what you can't. You'll have more fun here that way

They don't have to send them back at all. If you aren't what they want then no point carrying on. You could ask for a face pic first. If you don't like them you don't have to send one back

But anyone who blocks you does have a reason. They've just decided there's no sense getting into a conversation to tell you why.

Me too. Was browsing the forum last week and went to take a sneaky peek at a profile of someone I've never corresponded with or even engaged with on the forum to find I was blocked!

All part of the fun, not bothered by it but no idea why they blocked me unless I'd posted something they found offensive?

"sorry to disagree as sometimes there,s very little or no reason for that block as displayed by some of the comments already on this blog."

the block button is not a weapon, it is merely another tool, alot of people use it as a filter so if they decide they are never going to meet that person they will block them to save any further contact, if you send someone a facepic they may decide you arent for them, they dont need or have to reply with a face pic and simply apply the block again to save any further contact, some people look into things far to much, its a simple tool on a website.

We do use it as a filter but we often have it used against us when we point out to people that we dont accept the random friend requests or the d*unken messages from male halves of profiles seem to send on a weekend so they save us blocking them

I block and have been blocked...on occasion (usually when noseying a forum poster) I've noticed they've blocked me - it skips across my mind to wonder whether it was someone I said thanks but no thanks to or whether they've taken umbrage at one of my ramblings but that's the extent of my wonderings and I move on...there's always a reason someone blocks you, you're just not aware of it

We block plenty.

We even block profiles proactively that we'll never in a million years be interested in. Saves us time when browsing as they won't show in searches - and saves the person blocked time should they ever try and message us.

It's nothing personal - just another filter.

A permanent one.

Your experience on here will be so much better if you don't dwell on things you have no control over. No one blocks for no reason, a reason you will never know so really shouldn't worry about. Just move on and don't waste time worrying about it because they won't.

Bear in mind some will block for innocuous things like using commas (,) when it should be an apostrophe ('). However trivial you think the reasoning behind the block is, its enough of a reason for them not to want any contact from you

I don't really notice being blocked as, if they don't show up on search, how would I know?

I know I have been unblocked though. One forum user had messaged me when I first joined and I must have said no so was blocked (his prerogative. I didn't mind at all) then last year I noticed I was unblocked. So some people believe in block amnesties
