Foreskin tightness / white-ish hard skin

I know this is going to result in seeing the GP but I thought id ask the more sexually active and experienced on here as it's quick and easily accessible with the docs being 30 miles away.
Sensible replies only thanks!
Basically I had tried to let this run it's course and go away but it got worse,
A tight white- dead looking skin type skin had been slowly taking up round the rim of my foreskin now to the point that it's very sore to get erect and pull back infact I try and avoid retracting now and it has stopped me looking for meets at the moment.
At first I bought stuff for thrush / yeast but could be a deeper problem. Any experience of this? Thanks guys |

This ^ theres nothing that you can buy elsewhere that'll make sure it'll go away. Get it sorted at the doctors. Last thing you want to do is pass it on to someone else |

Could it be dry skin? Something like this happened to me. I had a stage when I was wanking a hell of a lot and had regular sex and found that condoms and the constant friction of my hand could dry the skin. It made it hard and painful to pull back the skin. So I just stop wanking for a while and used moisturiser seemed tp make things ok again.

you answered the question in your first sentence... you will need to see a doctor...
p.s rather than 30 miles away... just go to your local nhs drop in centre... I am sure it will be a lot closer |

It's not likely to be an STD or fungal issue. Just something men with tight foreskins can suffer from occasionally.
Dryness and even small tears around the foreskin is a pretty common if you have a tight foreskin.
It's nothing to worry about but go see your GP and they will sort you some appropriate cream out. Getting into a daily application of something like E45 is a good idea to help prevent this in future.

Can confirm the skin is dry and tight more than anything pretty much constricting when hard and painful to the point where I can't or don't want to pull back sometimes |

Paul suffered from this years ago. Went to gp, gum clinic they tested him over and over again. Turned out he was sensitive to products.
Use non bio washing powder
Use sensitive shower gel
Use ky jelly as a penis moisturiser
Keep up a very good hygiene routine
Use latex free condoms
If you self pleasure use loads of lube and thoroughly clean the area after
As a precaution get to the gum clinic (forget gp) and get tested when it all comes back clear follow the above advise. It could of been thrush to start with as Paul sometimes gets a flare up if I go on antibiotics and get thrush |

My hubby when first diagnosed with diabetes got something like this, could be a warning sign. He had severe thrush. Needed creme and an oral tablet, cleared up in a few days. |

I had that. You can also get it from having sex with someone with thrush I was given canesten cream a mild steroid. Cleared it right up |

This may be due to small tears in the rim of the foreskin, which, when they heal, become scar tissue, which doesnt stretch. You pull it back, the rim stretches and inside it develops small tears, these scar, and in effect the rim becomes slightly tighter... it's a vicious circle.
it might just need some moisturizer... and a few days of abstinence lol, or if its beyond that then "off with his head!"... circumcision. |

I would take the advice of some of the people on here and defo go see the doctor dude. Also keep it clean and try using a soap thats for sensitive skin it might help. Also ignore the idiots that are saying that this post shouldn't be on here. This is a swinger site where most probably other people has experienced this and knowledge is power as they say. If other people are too stupid to meet you for posting this then they don't deserve to be on this site and you are better off with that sort of people in your life. |

I had a similar issue with the tightening of the foreskin, also I was prone to getting infections. I had no qualms about going to the doctor. He suggested that I get circumcised and I did. I am now a trouble free roundhead.

I am always promoting us to use pharmacists more widely. Often they'll have a private area to discuss sensitive issues. There is likely one that's closer, and more choice, than a Doc. And can always see a Doc later if they were think it appreciate. I'd. Also support others' advice about use of better washing products for skin and clothing. Prolonged use of irritating chemicals cannot be good for many of us. Also high temperature showers and baths are irritants and it's worth treating the largest organ your body has with care and respect. |

Without actually seeing a photograph it's difficult to be certain, but the condition is likely to be either
balanitis xerotica obliterans or lichen sclerosis et atrophicus, very occasionally it may be a type of localised pemphigoid.
Neither are particularly common and you should ensure that your GP sends you for a urological opinion; stress the pain, irritation and interference with sexual function.
