Does anyone here sell stuff worldwide on eBay?

Is it worth it?

Are sone countries to be avoided?

Any hints and tips will be gratefully received.

I've sold stuff to the US and Canada. Shipping can be expensive so make sure your buyer is aware.

I avoid African countries as lots of items amazingly get 'lost' and demands for refunds start flooding in. I've heard Italy has a problem for that too so I'd probably be wary with there too.

You are quite correct i have been shafted too many times with Africa and Italy that I won't even post there unless they are internationally signed for.

That being said theirs a few dodgy fookers over here too

Thanks guys.

I've had a request from south Africa and wasn't sure whether to do it or not. I'll quote her a signed for price and see how that goes down.

I've also just got a message from eBay saying that they're adding the international option to my account if I want to use it. So advice from experience is great, thanks.

We disabled the international option because people form overseas were bidding without knowing what the full postage costs would be, then cancelling their bid when they found out what the p&p was. We added a line to every advert we place - "will post overseas but contact me for postage costs." You can then allow them to bid individually. We recently sold a toy pushchair to someone in Australia and they paid £76 in p&p
