It completely slipped my mind that last week I told you that a couple of my friends had been diagnosed with terminal illness
I was due to visit one of them next Friday. Unfortunately they passed away at the weekend.
My thoughts are with his partner who had planned to spend the next three months which she has cruelly been denied.
Knowing they didn't have long together, they filled the last few weeks of their time together with fun.
The only consolation is that he died quickly and didn't have to witness his deterioration

Just phoned my other mate to see how he is coping. He has been signed off of work with stress. Unlike the other couple he doesn't have the same support network of family and friends. All I could say to him was to cherish every moment that they have together and tell him that if he wanted a beer to give me a shout. |

Sorry to hear how tough life is at the moment for your friends. Sounds like you are being a great support and friends like that are often hard to find. |

It's always tough to hear of someone fading away slowly but two at the same time is really draining. Fortunately in my opinion the fact that one died suddenly and is not suffering any longer is a blessing. It's tougher for those left behind but more humane in the long run |
