Just seen a couple of lads walk passed by window drinking Stella in cans .
They peered at me thru my kitchen window whilst I was drinking a brew .
Maybe they haven't yet got home from a night out or maybe drinking problems are starting younger these days
Who knows
But so many about more than there ever used to be

"Ooofff. A Stella at 7.30ish? That's not my cup of tea, I'd prefer....... A cup of tea.
Angel, can you knock one up please, one sugar? I know you're having one as I peered through your window "

I dont like to sound judgmental but drinking stella at that time in the morning surely isnt right. But in saying that, it is a lifestyle choice i suppose. As i dont drink i cant see why it would happen. I see it quite a bit on my way to work. Just what has happened to some of these people to be that dependent on alcohol. Sad times |

Alcoholism is a massive problem, there will be plenty more people having a vodka for breakfast behind closed doors. Many you wouldn't suspect of having any issue with drink.
Like any addiction though - admitting there is a problem and getting help, is not always easy to do.
I've worked with people with a fridge full of cider rather that any food . That's hard to see. |

Million possible explanations, drinking problem is unlikely as they were together and walking. When I was dependant (was for 2 years) I would hide it and drink spirits before getting out of bed. |

"Each to their own if they want to drink beer at 7.30 that's their choice and I'm not sure why someone nationality has to be brought into the equation.
Someone's not someone "
That's better, thought you had been on the voddy for a while there |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
There was a programme on R4 a few weeks ago about the pubs around Smithfields in London. There used to be more of them open early in the morning to cater for the workers coming off the night shift.
For lots of people they work through the night so socialising after work with colleagues happens in the morning.

When i used to work night shift a cold beer at 6 am was a wind down, however not whilst strolling down the road or in the car. Did get a funny look from the postman one morning when I opened the door to receive a parcel with a beer in my hand though |

I've seen groups of people drinking together in the street. They don't hide it now. There are a lot in my Borough |

The Neptune in Derby opens at 6am for night shift workers. When I was doing nights on the construction of the Westfield Centre, I'd pop in for a jar or 2. There were a couple of guys in work gear who always left at 7am, when I asked them if they had had a grueler & which site they had been on, they said they were just off to work |
