Yes we use Skype to chat, it's our way of knowing that the pics don't lie also saves that awkward no if the pics were say a little older then they should be ect. |

No thank god, Skype has saved us a couple of times now, once with a fella that's pics looked nothing like him and another that seemed really nice and good looking but bore us to death on cam..so Skype all the way for us  |

hi all.. we use skype but being mourned on Corfu the signal can be very weak , so also use ooVoo but only to keep in touch with friends we have meet,
we like to keep the surprise of meeting new people, we tend to build up an image, most times turns out ok, one guy we did ask if his son could not make it..lol

totally ! I'm very bemused by profiles that say they never skype . . Why not ? Presumably you are on here to meet people. .wouldn't it be an idea to have a preview of what they look and sound like ?

Or maybe they just prefer to meet in person for a coffee/chat?
Cams, whilst useful to prove gender, give an up to date image as opposed to a potentially old photo and as a means of having a conversation 'live' - will never be beaten by good old face to face interaction!

I love to Skype potential meets. It's good to see how the conversation flows and get a much better idea of physical appearance and chemistry. If meets are local there isn't much need but it is great when they aren't x |

Your choice. I used to arrange socials at places is be at anyway. No extra travel, no extra cost.
As for making space in my diary? I was already there! And I've yet to see anyone look 100% identical in person as they do on cam - in person you get the whole picture. Or do you request them to stand next to a height/width gauge and give you a twirl?

 I meet somewhere that I'll be anyway. I have met people where we didn't click but no time was wasted. We had a nice chat and a brew. It's called being sociable.  |
