So my day started in Asda at 8:30 buying ingredients for a day in the kitchen.

So far I've made 3 loaves of bread, a Victoria Sponge, a lemon meringue pie and have prepared 3 different sauces for the tapas I'm making tonight.

Patatas bravas

Albondigo

Pan duo

Fried whitebait.

I have 3 carefully selected wines to compliment the food and what happens?..

The Mrs calls to tell me she's decided not to entertain this evening and it's 'just us'

Anyone hungry?

That all sounds delicious but I'm afraid we're off to the Sussex social tonight

I love patatas bravado too.

I've been fancying mixed olives, feta cheese and sun dried tomatoes and just got back from Tesco's with a big tub full.

Just put some extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar over it and put it in the fridge to marinate a bit.

Well, if it's good enough for Sparticus it's good enough for me
