Or not if we are to now listen to Milliband.
If only Scottish MP's are voting on Scottish matters then it is only fair and right that only English MP's vote on English matters. Labour are completely missing the sentiment of the English people here.... devolution for one... devolution for all.
Power to the people? Power to the (labour) party more like. |

Can't say much about what is going on there but over here the people haven't had the power in over a hundred years. Its a rich mans game here. Poor keep getting poorer and the rich get richer. The American government is for the rich and no one else. The poor pay for it all. Gotta step of my soap box now before i get started......lol |

Its a fair concept but anyone knowing anything about politics know why labor think as they do. |

Because for Labour to accept the inherent unfairness of the current position would mean them losing votes in parliament. Add in the other socialist strongholds of Wales and NI and labour would be outvoted on every English only motion in parliament.
Bottom line is that England is where the conservative stronghold is (Almost all Conservative MP'S represent English constituencies). Labour are strong in Scotland and Wales and to a lesser degree in NI but all those parliamentary votes together make up a huge chunk overall of the labour voting potential in parliament.
As it stands, Labour can and do rally Scots. Welsh and NI MP'S to vote on English only matters that don't even affect them. This despite the fact that English MP'S cannot vote on devolved issues in Scotland. |

"Can England vote to be a country on it's own and separate from our neighbours? And from Europe?!"
I'd like England to remain in the Union of the United Kingdom, but i would like to see a referendum on the UK's membership of the EU, a simple "in" or "out" question, its long overdue. |

The conservatives and the Lib dems are in agreement that english MP's should vote on english matters, without the scots, welsh and NI. I think its inevitable that this will happen now somewhere down the line, if Labour try to resist it then they will lose what support they do have in England. |
