I was simply asking if anyone else on here blocks people who have ignored and deleted your message, or turned down an offer of a chat or whatever, solely to avoid accidentally sending them another message at a later date
example - I send msfruitynips a message to enquire as to any possible interest, I later check my 'sent messages' and find that she has deleted said message without a response, I then block msfruitynips in order to save myself making the mistake of sending her another message, because why would she reply a second time if she's already shown she's not interested? also, she make think I'm a stalker if I send a second message and she's already shown she's not interested

Yes if I message someone and they are not interested (either by deleting my message/saying no thanks) I block them. Simply because I have a shit memory and it will save the embarrassment of me sending another message later on forgetting I've already messaged them.

Next time you get a message from someone, use the note facility to say date and message, that way if they message you again, click on the profile first and and if there is a little blue note icon, you know they have messaged you before  |

I tend to use the notes feature in each profile, that way I can keep track of who I have messaged and any responce.
You can also see if you have messaged or winked someone before by looking on their profile. If you try to message someone again a warning also flashes up if they previously didn't reply. |

Only trouble with that method. . Is that lots of people do mass deletes due to the sheer volume of messages . I have re contacted people and had a reply. It can simply be a matter of timing . Of course i don't sent message after message. . But i may try a second time if it's been a while since i last tried. .or their status message shows a particular subject that shows I may be of interest |

I also use the Notes facility to note given names, preferences not on the profile, etc., as well as any noteworthy comments emerging from conversations,also saving the read messages in exceptional cases.
Like the OP and other contributors to the thread, I also block anyone who has read and deleted my messages which I take as a perfectly valid sign of no interest |

If you are a site supporter you get a little summary of when you last sent or received a wink or message to/from people,
I don't block people o message with no response, but I do block everyone that I've said no thank you too. |

yeah I was a bit d*unk..however why block because someone hasnt shown an interest?
I've ended up meeting lots of people over the years that never showed an interest.
I've met many in parties/socials..if I'd blocked them beacause they ignored me, its only me thats shot myself in the foot.I've been on the site several years, met hundreds, far and wide.Blocking would have stopped much progress.
As I've said in numerous posts...to me(and a select few others)-I only block those that have acted like a fud. |

if you pay the membership, it tells you if you have messaged people and other advantages rather than blocking them, they might have deleted by mistake then later see your profile and want to message you |
