His name was Christian. He was 16 and I was 18 when we started "going out" but we had known each other for years. We were in love for 3 years. I still get butterflies when I think of our time together.

Andrew, both 16, together 3 years fate conspired against us then but strangely throws us back in touch at the weirdest times. Eg bumping into his sister a week before my wedding, me n her living 250 miles from where he and I are from. She told me she thought he still loved me. I ignored her yet awoke on my wedding day with these exact thoughts in my head 'what the hell am I doing? I should be with Andrew'

Caryll - met at school and went out for two years from 6th form to working life. Was our first real romance for us both and ended with a fizzle out. . . She joined the police and I left the country! |

spookily similar to frisky :O mine was John, I was 15 and he was 20, we were together for about 3 years.
When I moved back here about 3 years ago, we got back together and everyone thought it was really sweet that childhood sweethearts got it on again, but it didn't work out.. the good times should have been kept in the past  |

Depends on your definition or understanding of 'true love'
Romantically, I was 22 and she was 21. We lasted just 8 months and I was devastated when we split.
My other 'first true love' was born in December 2005 - my daughter and I love my son, born two years and one month later equally. |

Elaine. I was 8. We were on the way back from Jack and the beanstalk and we kissed on the coach.... The way you think people should kiss because you saw it "at the pictures". My heart nearly exploded, I could feel it. Never been close to that feeling since!

Only had that "firework" feeling once....20+ years ago and I still regret a decision I made at the time. I guess he was my 1st & most genuine love, but I walked away from it as I was scared |

My first wife. We met when we were 20 and spent 10 years together, married for 8 of those.
She changed my life in so many positive ways. A wonderful woman and I wish her very happiness in her life. |

She was 17 i was 18. lasted 3 years. she went to uni, we lasted a year of that and then her mother made her choose. me or continuing her degree. i lost out, she was distraught. i bump into her (never alone though) every year or so and we get dumbstruck. just the looks we give each other must speak volumes. i regret to this day, not fighting tooth and nail to stay together. |

I'm 39 years old and I have never been in love, people keep telling me there's someone for everyone out there and I will find love one day but at this rate I'll find mine when I'm in my nursing home lol |

First love(r)..... Julie. We were both 13. Was it love? Yes...lust too ... Did it last? No but we have spoken recently...we both remember it fondly.
Always remember your first time.

I'm lucky ( mr ) to have had two true , real life loves ....
Met my first on my paper round 13 and had marriage, kids success in life and much love and happiness .. Sadly taken from us aged 31....
I marry for life and only once !!! Or that's what I thought lol ... This pretty little miss walked into my life 6 years ago and now married over 2 and madly in love and lust  |
