I stopped a very d*unk man from walking onto railway tracks this year. He had walked past the barrier and down the ramp to the track and was wavering around by the track |

Saved a friend who had taken an overdose, she had just moved to a new house in derby and i didnt have the address, i spent two hours on the phone with the police tracking down her old house mates, uni etc and they eventually found her, had to break down the door but got her to hospital and she is still here now and in a good place |

I pulled a woman from the local river after she'd jumped off a bridge a few years back. Got a very nice letter from the local Chief Inspector saying I was brave and politely telling me how stupid I was to go into the water at night |

I friend and I were having a meal and she started choking on a piece of lamb, she was turning purple so I did the heimlich maneuver, after a few attempts she started to cough and breath again. She can't eat lamb now. |

I know what you mean about the hero stuff. Makes me cringe. Its a natural reaction to helping, if possible.  |
