My cat has always been an adept killer but has now taken to beheading his victims, eating the heads and leaving the bodies in a pool of blood on the patio. I would have thought the head would have been the last thing to eat. Evil!

He has a brother and a dog for company and gets fed. He is just evil. It was a squirrel this morning that was his latest victim.

He isn't unwell, he just likes killing things and eating their heads. Not worth spending a fee to hear a vet tell me he is evil!!

Cats are awesome animals and I miss mine a lot.

It's instinct for cats to be like that sometimes but if they are leaving them in obvious places it's also a gift for you...odd I know but it's a sign of love, affection and gratitude!

Perhaps he thinks the head may offend me and that is why he insists on removing them! Maybe because he is doing it for me I am complicit in the serial killing going on

My cat is cruel to people and other cats. Likes to draw blood. But she wouldn't kill an insect. In fact she will chase moths and spiders to wherever they're going, only to sit mesmerised by them and meowing at me like I haven't noticed.

Cannot call them evil , However they are exceptionally well evolved predators . I am no fan. They should be all kept on a lead. I have a wilderness garden I don't see why a non native predator allegedly owned by a responsible human can be allowed to slaughter the wildlife in my garden or for that matter shit in it .

Have you ever heard of Lions, Tigers, Leopards and Cheetahs?

Ever noticed that they're referred to as 'the big cats'?

That might give you something of a clue as to why your cat is killing things.

It's known as preadtory behaviour and is something that comes naturally to a feline.

guess the op just doesn't know anything about nature. Praying Manitis - the female bites the head off the male after mating, Black Widow Spider - called because she eats the male after mating. Now humans who make a choice to kill for persoanl gain, jealousy, greed, religion, political belief - well that is really what you can call evil.

"are you sure you are feeding him properly? maybe he is lonely or something, I have never heard of a cat doing that before."

never heard of a cat hunting before?

my cats hunt all the time despite being fed every day. sometimes they eat all of their prey, sometimes some of it and sometimes its just a present for me.

It might be similar to bear in salmon season. later on in the season when there is not much ime left for gaining the weight for hibernation they will only feed on the richest parts of the animal which is the brain.

As much as we domesticate animals, their innate wild animal wins out at times.

animals do those things too(ok, maybe not religion. Political gain perhaps in terms of issues of alpha males/female allegience). they also have high instances of infanticide (killing kids of rival males....prevalant in lions), thats fairly evil

DOG DIARY

8:00 AM - Dog food! My favorite thing!

9:30 AM - A car ride! My favorite thing!

9:40 AM - A walk in the park! My favorite thing!

10:30 AM - Got rubbed and petted! My favorite thing!

12:00 PM - Lunch! My favorite thing!

1:00 PM - Played in the yard! My favorite thing!

3:00 PM - Wagged my tail! My favorite thing!

5:00 PM - Milk bones! My favorite thing!

7:00 PM - Got to play ball! My favorite thing!

8:00 PM - Wow! Watched TV with the people! My favorite thing!

11:00 PM - Sleeping on the bed! My favorite thing!

CAT DIARY

Day 983 of my captivity!

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. The sick bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies'. I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow - but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He obviously has issues.

its not evil...they have an inherent 'belief' their genes are the strongest..to call them evil though, I'd draw the line..I think the thought processes are quite different to that of whats considered the more sentient animals.I dont mind personifying my cat...but most of the time I look at her as an animal with not much control how she behaves...in the human sense!

I like to imagine how different animals may see things very differently from us..from a seagul flying in freezing cold high altitudes I can imagine they may be getting a crazy adrenaline rush as they soar about, and they arent even looking like theyre hunting.

and to the anti-cat crowd?...fuck off
