I often use chatrooms, and openly state that I like to crossdress. On the odd occasion I'm subjected to vile comments from homophobic meatheads which I laugh off. (Firing insults online is as pointless as attacking an aircraft carrier by flicking peas at it)
However, I recently bought a pair of expensive perfectly normal male jeans and my friend said: "Are you really going out in those?" WTF was that all about, is it the jeans or me? |

Still a slim guy but not as skinny as I used to be but when people say shit like
"You should eat more" or "you could do with some more food in you"
It fucks me off. I eat 4000 calories a day for god sake. |

It is quite easy to dent my self confidence due to being quite shy, not online as I laugh a lot of things off.
It is funny when I am doing something I am good at, like cycling, paintballing, etc. I am a bit jackyl & hyde in that respect, I don't need to brag just let my actions speak for themselves. |

I know its silly on this site but when I have made the effort to meet someone who then either proceeds to lie (why bother?) to me or who claims to want to play but wants it all to just suit them.
Both scenarios result in a 'fuck off and waste someone else's time'.
Such behaviour I have experienced made me redo my profile that probably makes me sound like a bitch but I don't think or indeed put up with shitty behaviour now. |

On here, nothing really. I accept I'm not everyone's flavour. In the early days back here (and the brief time I was on before) I used to have my confidence knocked by making an approach and seeing the e-mail deleted, and even worse by then seeing on my news feed the kind of (bigger, more muscular) guy the same went on to meet...
Ah, the old insecurity
Now? Nothing really knocks my confidence. I have too much going on. The same thing still happens but I couldn't care less |

Thanks.
As I said, it's an old and previous insecurity. Whilst not overly so, nothing knocks my confidence now.

The thing that knocks my confidence is chatting to people on here, getting on really well, sending them a face pic then they turn round and then say sorry, don't meet married guys.
My pic that bad that it jars their memory?
It can dent the confidence for an hour or so. Then I move on |

"hard as concrete, unless a little kid says sometching bad, they always tell the truth. "
Omg isn't it awful when a small child says something and you just know it's true x |

Usually something where for a while you have people tell you "It's whats on the inside that counts" and you start to believe it and have confidence and then soon after you encounter something and you realise "Nope. It's bullshit. People are shallow".
Happens so many times. |

I know this is probably not going to be useful to anyone who has their heart set on finding what they want here, but if I get abuse or ignorance, I just bounce off and go do something else where my confidence is appreciated.
Sure, it won't get me laid, but it will keep me from feeling the way the haters want me to feel. Fuck em all! |

Me! I'm always knocking myself, and set my goals very high. When I don't meet those goals, I give myself such a hard time.
I need to love myself more, but untill I do, I'm the only one that will dent my self confidence. |

My eldest daughter constantly knocks my self confidence, she puts down everything I buy or wear, telling me I'm to old/fat etc for everything, mostly I ignore her but it gets to me at times, I have even thrown things away because she's been so rude about it, or I should say me in it |

after a period of ill health about 5 years ago, I have concentrated on me and my wellbeing. It has worked, I feel very, very well and that helps because, I don't let anything impact my self belief/esteem. Nothing.

Have you told her how she makes you feel? She may be jealous of you and actually think you look great but putting you down makes her feel better. x |

Not a lot really and definitely not other people. Think this sums it up for me quite well...
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. |

Same here, I'm my own harshest critic. |
