I've seen a previous thread on here with a lot of people hating on Apple, I'm on a Samsung myself, but trying to get hold of an iPhone this weekend seems like an impossible task. The popularity is crazy and they've broken records in pre sales!

i finally bit the bullet and preordered mine on monday from a little EE store.... I was apparently no.31 on their list (not everyone wanted the colour and spec I wanted.. I have been told I may get mine probably not this weekend but next...) |

Its the popular item envy thing set up by Apple or who ever does it the same as the must have Christmas toy. Its 90% perception and good marketing good for them if they can get people to follow like they do.  |

Between 5 and 6 yes, more powerful, apple pay, thumb verification, better camera, better screen. Slimmer better battery life
Between 5s and 6 not so much ( I have a 5s which I will upgrade this time next year)  |

I have a Samsung Galaxy note 2 and it still does everything that I need it to do.
I'm in no hurry to upgrade now until something REALLY better comes along. The manufacturers seem to be laughing all the way to the bank at the moment.
I don't really care about camera improvements that you can barely see, or thumb print readers. I want a screen I can roll out and a fantastic sound system. Until they can deliver those, I'll keep my perfectly adequate note 2 |

Had an Iphone4, then Galaxy S3 and now the S4.
I'll be going back to Apple.
Both the S3 and S4 have suffered issues but the old Iphone4 is still going strong in the hands of a clumsy teenager.
Will wait to see how both of the variations of the 6 feel and look.
Binned off the windows PC for a MAC and it's so much better.
Expensive, yes. But I use them all a great deal so can justify it, sort of. |

I only ever get the "s" version.
Used to work for O2 when iphone first came out, they had the contract as the only uk supplier.
What I learnt was the first model is for testers, they rely on you to use the handset on a daily basis and report back with flaws and bugs, whats good and bad.
Then they get to work with the "s" model based on the feedback from all the "testers" who purchased the first.
As with any technology, the 2nd model is released with the flaws of the first model being put right.
So get testing people, I want my iphone 6s working just right lol  |

Apple has not had the best phone on the market in years neither has samsung they just have brand appeal and huge marketing budgets! The best phones now are HTCs or LG. Sorry in a right geek with phones lol! |

I quite like my HTC M8. Can never get my head round an Iphone. But, i'm thinking of a possible change soon. Usually i always change handsets and brands. An Iphone is the only one i haven't got yet.

Got a second hand HTC Desire 2 years ago, hasn't put a foot wrong. I send about 5 texts a week, take the odd pic here and there, might not make or recieve any calls all week, and browse t'interwebby when I can get free WiFi, no reason to upgrade LOL |

Apple are good at what they do but to much hype and sheep following in my opinion. The apple products are way to restrictive, cant do this, cant add that. Samsung all the way for me, so much cheaper, better quality and dont shatter when flicked lol. Just my opinion of course, like I say apple are good at what they do, just way to sheepy sheep for me. |

Sony are good, again android system. My previous phone was a Sony, in my opinion the processor is a little laggy in a Sony, compared to my Samsung anyways. |

I have to wait for November but that's fine. Love my iPad, iphone 5 and MacBook Air. Elegant, efficient and instinctive to use. Despite dropping it quite a few times, it's in pristine condition and I'll sell it at a good price too. |

Loads of people in HK who have reserved and bought the new release -paid HKD 5,558, walked out the shop, and then been able to sell it to the highest bidder on the street. Been going for between HKD 30,000 to 40,000

As ever don't like the new iphone, the camera sticks out the back, they gave moved the power button and made the software more like android, Steve jobs would be turning in his grave, looking round tonight I'm tempted to buy a htc m8 for around £300 new price tag against the £540 price tag if the iphone 6
After my rant I will end up sending the iphone 6 back buying a htc then sell that and keep my iPhone 5s till January then when the 6 is sensibly price buy one, I have many apple devices which are great, apple does what it should with no dramas and for that you pay the price  |

There was 1500 people at the Trafford Centre on Friday morning when I went to Starbucks at 4am. Some with sleeping bags that had been there for something daft like 30 hours.
I like a good phone but would never want a phone that much.
Love apple products, but prefer android phones. |
