...of a cuddle! *note: not for squeamish people*
Back story: had the coil fitted yesterday morning. I thought I was pregnant but test and nurse both said I wasn't even though I've had negative pregnancy tests in the past and actually been pregnant. Today I got to work and almost collapsed from the pain. Was sent to A&E from work. Was there for 5 hours and was then told they couldn't remove the coil and I had to make an appointment at the place that put it in. No appointments til next week but they squeezed me in between appointments today because I was in so much pain. They took it out there and then... Took 2 minutes! Dunno why they wouldnt do it at the hospital!! I told the nurse about my suspected pregnancy and that the doctor at the hospital mentioned something about my ovaries (i don't remember exactly what because I was squirming in pain at the time) and she said its actually possible that the reason I was in so much pain and I was bleeding so much is that I was pregnant and the coil had caused a miscarriage (only would have been 2 weeks pregnant and the nurse that fitted the coil knew this).
Still in agony.. and a bit upset about the possible pregnancy and worried about my ovaries!!!
Virtual cuddles greatly appreciated!!
Also any knowledge on all this would be appreciated too!!! |

"Sending hugs. Need to talk with the department who fitted coil. Law suit pending. Tell them. ??"
They did nothing wrong. Pregnancy test was negative, and coil was fitted perfectly. They couldn't be expected to do anything else :/ |

For now forget about legal stuff and just take care of yourself, as you can see there's plenty of us thinking of you and sending you hugs - it might not make things go away but hopefully it will help a litter
Big big hugs sweetheart x |

I had a merina (sp) coil fitted a few years ago. It was September. I was in pain every day. I bled every day. They told me to persevere. I did. Until February.
I'll never do that ever again. Hideous contraption. Apparently it's very successful for some women. Not for me. |

Ask for a blood test which would show if pregnant even if tests won't .
Can't understand why they wouldn't do that anyway before telling you that you may have miscarried and also why they would have fitted if you thought you was pregnant , or why you let them
Hope you find out what happened . Bleeding can happen anyway with a coil fitting x |

It could be the coil just doesn't suite you I was told it has the same hormones as the implant and when I had that in I had horrible pain for a few days and bleed constantly for 6 months until the nurse agreed I needed it removed |

Exactly the same happened to me but I put up with it for 2 years because as I had to have it inserted under general anaesthetic (due to not having a vaginal birth), I was worried about the pain having it removed. It took about 30 seconds to take out and I didnt feel a thing!
My libido also returned once it had been removed |
