Crown Spa Hotel in Scarborough is nice and not expensive either.
Château Rhianfa on Anglesey is nice too and a nice area too.
I like Windermere suites in the lakes best though if it was for me. |

Bulkely Hotel in Beaumaris, Anglesey is really excellent. Will treat you like Royalty and much to see in the area. Not cheap but not over the top...excellent value! |

Have you considered a holiday cottage ?
There are some cracking ones out there for those with mobility issues.
I have similar needs when I take my olds away and mum prefers a cottage to a hotel cos there is space to take all her aids and she doesn't av to worry about gettin other peoples way (her words)
Then again, Dad sulks cos in a hotel he would get a brekkie cooked for him every day.
Ya can't win em all |

Thanks for all the suggestions. I know the north wales ones are lovely but a little to close. Up that way all the time. Scarborough sounds lovely, thank you for that one. Still looking if any more ideas about, |

How about Harrogate. Not quite as far as Scarborough but v v nice. Take her to Betty's Tearooms - famous and vv good.
And for a hotel, http://www.ruddingpark.co.uk/
I've stayed there a couple of times - not for swinging though - and it is great. The staff will look after your mum famously. |
