Just out of curiosity why do people hide thier profiles

I just got a guy msg me so I looked to see if I was interested in meeting. He had hidden his profile so there was no way I could tell

Need to know basis

When they have too mAny messages and want tme to response/delete so they stop the flow...hidden you cannot be found in searches.

When discussions in forums have gone sour and prefer not to be _iewed anymore

To update their profile in peace and quiet

I use it when not looking to meet as I only check fab when i'm free I don't want people thinking I'm rude and not replying to messages.

I was winked by a guy about an hour before I read his profile. When I did read his profile, he had it hidden. What's the point in winking if you can't wink back. It's the same with messages. I've been messaged and when I went to reply, their profile was hidden. Perhaps all they want to do is look but not get involved.
