When is it acceptable to the general populous to block another or are there any guidelines?

we use it if some one has said no thanks to us, just so we dont end up sending them a message again, also for people who wont take no for an answer

Anytime you want.

They don't have to have done anything wrong... some people block others just so they don't accidently message them twice or so they can eliminate them from any future search results quicker.

I trust you to know what I meant. Nothing can be done but I've aired it.

Good luck this evening...you'll need it!

If only there was a block button to use in real life: no more sales call; cold callers; pushy shop assistants....the list goes on

Well it is Thursday

Sadly not all people agree with a block button, and because you can quote others it probably defeats the object. But yes, at times, it would be easier to have people blocked from each other.

Happily though, we are all adults and SHOULD be able to ignore any posts we don't like.

a simple way to get off the fone from sales people is ask a stupid question, theyr timed and monitored,i used to do telesales and most was scripted,if the ansewer aint on the script they struggle,,,its fun try it,,say a fone company wants you to change to them, just ask them are they with it,if they say yes, just say will send me your bill and il look it over and let you know, they soon hang up

My block list is massive! I use this facility when I've had stroppy responses from 'knock backs' also when I have decided I will never meet that person so it saves them from messaging me again if they forget!

"When is it acceptable to the general populous to block another or are there any guidelines?"

Whenever the need is felt to block someone.

No-one needs to have any justification or feel the need to explain why they have blocked anyone

I block people:

-if they are eejits (1 or 2)

-if having read their profile, I realise I don't meet their requirements, and therefore shouldn't message them (fuckin loads)

Errr...how do you know you don't like a post before you've read it?

You make it sound as though if we don't like one post, we should retire from swinging...

Hmmm...I guess you're trying to "reply with quote", so you may have meant something different.

What I actually meant which pertains mainly to chat is if one doesnt like the trend that another chats in. If I were totally honest I wasnt thinking about the forums at all, as I have just started using them, lol.

DAMN, I was hoping to at least see one sleazy pic in your profile, lol.

So whats your definition of sleazy then, cos I am sure there are different degrees.
