Apparently ladies have been scammed out of £6 million pounds in online dating scams,
no chance of that happening to me I don't get messages 
I'm always shocked how easily some people are separated from their hard earned cash,,,  |

A lot are older women who are with widowers or divorcees who become lonely due to family flying the nest and they get sucked in by promises of love and romance by men on the internet...who then say they need money etc.. |

I don't like men enough to want to give them money, I would rather give it to animal charities. I find it hard to understand these women being so stupid and desperate. |

Loneliness is the biggest factor and the fact that some of these men are extremely good con artist who can fool people...even the most street savy can get conned by a clever con artist...I wouldn't give my money to a man I met on the internet but then again I don't have any but some have given away their life savings...it must be an awful feeling to know you have been conned and unlikely to ever see that money again. |

It's an easy con sadly, and goes both ways - plenty of blokes get scammed as well, I imagine.
Without many networks or close relationships, people can do allsorts of things to get them - arguably human nature and societal pressures. |
