The Right Hon. Baron Prescott just entered the house of lords.
He got a bloody baronet for whalloping a reporter, or is this the tidiest way of shuffling him off where he can't do anymore harm? |

Um... Stu... matey... you be careful which policeman's helmet you knock off, ya hear. I know a rather nice policeman who's a member here and may not mind you doing just that. |

John Prescott going to the Lords has to be the biggest joke out, and the most pathetic.
What's happened to all his principled, 'equal rights for the workers' stuff now??

I used to think the House of Lords was neccessary to balance out the House of Commons but this appointment has changed my opinion of that. If a complete moron like Prescott can be made a Lord then it's a title that isn't worth the effort it takes to make his ermine robe.
I'm now in favour of scrapping the House of Lords altogether, and I guess I must have been leaning towards scrapping it for some time as a pillock like Prescott wouldn't be enough to turn my opinion alone - he was just the catalyst. |
