I've posted on this sort of thread a few times...for me it's my personal risk assessment...30+ years sexually active, barebacked in my youth (pre AIDS days), nowadays it's condoms for penetrative sex, oral without (and I do swallow)...tested every 3 months for the last 3 years or so...only case of clap was in my teens (I'm 47). Of course, I'm aware there's a lesser risk for oral, but were I to catch something then I'd change my way of playing  |

Penetration carries a higher risk unprotected than oral ... So that's why most play as they do.
Most seem to not think about the cross contamination risks though which is why women are more at risk of catching something in group situations than men. |

My local clinic has stopped doing the oral swab now so I dont think the clinics are overly worried about oral std's. Just blood tests and swabs for below are offered now |

they know I am a swinger hence dont go through the millions of questions every couple months.i did ask but they said it been stopped as shows up below if you have anything.they know I accasionally swallow but still dont do it |

I have never had a throat swab despite declaring all my sexual practices etc. am I being naive in thinking that if you have something it will show up anyway?? The clinic I go to don't show any concern over needing to do a throat swab.... |

I think opinions on that differ . I've always had throat swabs until I say above the clinic has stopped doing it now, so I Wouldn't say your naive.only naive ones are those who don't get tested at all |

Hmm....you are entitled to your opinion (as we all are) but I'd think it's quite a 'dumb' thing to be on a forum of a sex site, presumably looking for playmates and then alienating people with distasteful comments. What a great way to win friends and influence people!
(Just incase you need it explaining....saying it's your personal opinion that it's dumb to do bareback is fine, and you can easily make the decision on who to meet and protect your sexual health...however, saying that you hope someone gets all the diseases under the sun, wishing them ill, is most definitely not ok, and if not considered immature and a bad reflection on your character, it is at least bad karma.)
