Only missed the first half. Next year I'm getting a season ticket so I can go to last night. So few places have it on the big screens this year x

It's on BBC1. The second half is always shifted to BBC1.

Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk is just so smoky and yet laconic. I love listening to it.

To do the Proms in the Park or RAH? It's not that straightforward for the RAH for last night.

I'm singing along as I type so hopefully this answer will make sense.

For RAH last night you need to book six proms to enter the application process for the last night or have a very good contact. Everyone wants tickets for the last night.

Proms in the Park is easier to get and is a lot of fun if you don't mind crowds. Plus you get the choice of more than one place.

I think it only becomes difficult to get tickets if you want to be in the Prom area.

Other parts of the hall are possible, without having to to do the 6 prom raffle..

You can get more reasonable priced tickets if you book a series of Proms to attend. It's a bit of a lottery either way. Even those top priced tickets go very quickly and some come back on the informal economy at more than that.

I'd love to do a series of proms, but even my Sellafield salary probably wouldn't support 7 trips to London in quick succession plus getting my neighbour to feed the moggies would be a problem

If you don't mind queues you can queue on the day for last night tickets. Used to go often.... Prom in the park tickets are easier and about 33 quid... But nothing beats being at thr royal Albert hall xx

It works out cheaper if you get a full season ticket as that does include your last night ticket...

Right, this a call to arms.

If we are that keen to go we need to get our acts together and make sure that we organise it.

So, if I am still here next year I will take this on. If I'm not here then one of you give me a call and I'll join you.

Boxes are hard to get. My Dad was on the site as soon as tickets went on sale and only managed to get two seats in a box for one night, and that wasn't even for Last Night. I suspect they're already booked for like, ever!

I know a couple of companies that have boxes but I wouldn't be able to get them as they use them for business.

Last time I was in a box at the Proms it was the box next to Katie Derham's box.

I've emailed the royal Albert hall to ask about best way for a group. A box for 10 events for 12 people is 41k... So maybe a little to much lol

I know you can apply if you have been to other proms or queue on the day... ( this is mostly how I have done it.)

Although the park could still be amazing x

Horsham

I used to watch this avidly when ever it was on. I remember seeing my first one in my late teens, the conductor announcing to the audience that somewhere in the next piece a starter pistol would be used.

Since then till I started working shifts I never missed it, as it summed up music as it should be entertaining and fun.
