Brighton - even Hove!

Have you got any scars? I don't but I find them very interesting and don't put me off people at all. In fact, in steve-world, scars tell a story and make the person more interesting.

Where's your scar and how did you get it?

The land of grey peas and bacon

This was copied from when I asked the same question

I was asked the other day how I got a scar on my knee and it always makes me cringe when I tell the story of my ex putting me through a glass cabinet, then I have a scar when I was a baby where a one toothed blind and dumb dog bit me...then I have the scar where I had my appendix out and scar where I was burnt with hot water...

Remember when your teacher used to tell you off for balancing on 2 legs on your chair? They always knew someone who had cut their head open?

Yep, that someone was me! Balancing on 2 legs, fell off, a 1" scar above my right eye, 5 stitches.

Couple of other, less interesting scars.

Well here we go

Luke's scars right forearm from a bike accident and where he had the metal plate removed, left side of his chest again from the same bike accident and meeting the central reservation at speed! He also has a scar on his lower back from his teenage years.

I have a scar on the inside of my mouth just above my lip from falling on a metal dresser as a 5 year old, appendix scar and a laparotomy scar from the same op! Loads more scars but a few to many to list

I fell in a fire when I was toddler. It's left me with scars on my fingers , hands and wrists and I have no nails on two fingers. I also have a slight blemish on my forehead.

I had seven stitches in my head which you can only see when I have my hair cropped.

I have a scar running from my naval to my nipple. It's very slight and can only be seen if I've been sunning myself.

I have a hole type scar on my shin where I had blood poising and I nearly list my leg. It exploded with puss and the hole left a scar.

I've been saying for ages that my hip replacement scar was about 14 inches...I actually measured it (not with a Lynx can or Sky remote) and it's actually only 11 inches, so I must have been using man inches

I also have a scar on my eyebrow from when I took a tumble off my push bike a few years back when I was hugely pissed and should have left the bike at the pub

also copied from a previous answer

"I have the odd scar or two...working from the head down-

4 inch scar on the top of my head where i ran into a metal edged bay window sill and scalped myself

2 inch scar above my eye from being hit by a car which ripped open my eye socket so my eyeball swelled sideward out of the wound so i could see sideways- i also shattered my nose and have a half in scar there as well as removing most of the skin from my upper arms- although this hasn't left a scar- just some rough skin

A small scar on my lip where my teeth went through when i fall over on the ice at school

A small scar on my lip where i fell over on the ice at school the following year

chicken pox scars on my chin and chest

2 inch scar from falling in a metal factory and ripping my hand open on some swarf

1cm triangle scar on the same hand from falling on broken glass- less than an hour after having the stitches out from the swarf wound

2 parallel scars on my fingers where i had a minor incident with an angle grinder

various other finger scars from screwdrivers, chisels, sheet metal and welders

knuckle scar from a broken glass washing up

2 inch gash on my arm from a broken mirror left in the rubbish by a neighbouring business

both knees and elbows scarred a little from awesome stunts on my bike as a kid that didn't work out quite as planned

various marks from now removed piercings

Other than that- i'm perfectly bloody stunning!

Someone threw a big stone at me when I was little playing and broke my eyebrow and nose bridge, but got all sorted out... I only have two semi visible scars on my left eyebrow and nose. I like them a lot.

My shins used to be really bad as I used to do a lot of bmxing and if I didn't land on the pedals well they would kick back straight into my shins, they called those metal pedals tenderisers for a reason

-Appendix.

-One above my appendix after being hit by a digger.

-Four on my hand (cigarette burn, cut myself with

scissors, sawed into my hand and a stab wound).

-Nipple

-Eyebrow

-Two or three more on my arms from when I was

younger which are quite hard to find now.

There maybe more.

The appendix one hurt when I woke up and the stab

wound when my hand swelled up with bruising. Good

job I am not squeamish.

The missis has one that I can think of on her leg from when she was a kid.

I've one on my forehead from when I was a young child. My mum was given an electric wheelchair to help with her mobility, and dad was in it with plungers pretending to be a dalek. He chased me, I ran straight into a wall and split my head open. Had to go and get stitches, and he had to explain to the doctor what happened. Mum got rid of the electric wheelchair soon after.

All the others are from stupid accidents or surgeries, not as interesting.

Agree, best scar story...I'm just imagining a shame-faced dad explaining to Casualty staff

It's not a scar story, but as a youngster, my parents had to have the doctors out to me cos I'd stuffed a bit of crayon up my nose to stop my kid sister getting it

I didn't realise I had so many until I commented on a thread a few weeks ago.

One on my forehead when I fell off the swings.

One on my leg from taking a chunk out whilst shaving.

2 on my stomach from a C Section and Sterilisation.

One on my lip from when my brother threw a brush at me.

One on my hand from a broken glass while working in a bar

And one on my shoulder from a lump of coal spitting out of a fire

I have a few but the one that is the most unusual is on my shin from when an insect bite got infected.

I had one on my arse cheek from a cycling accident when I stupidly managed to use my arse as a brake against my back tyre at around 30mph but after a decade or so it's faded. That one hurt

One inside my mouth from been beaten up 25 years ago, even though it's not visible I hate that one

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

One on my upper right arm from a compound fracture of the humerus when I was hit by a car. One on my forehead from running into a door jamb (note to self - tall people and mediaeval doors don't mix), one on my knee from god knows where, and several knife scars and hot fat scars on my forearms from working in a kitchen.

My grandad brought me a tricycle when I was about 4, I was so eager to try it out that he didn't have the chance to cap all the screws, I cycled up our little lane and misjudged where the seat was and sat on a screw and I have a perfect circle scar on my left buttock

One up the middle of my stomache.. From surgery when I was 18. Appendix scar.. A few facial scars... And a bump on my nose from several breaks a scar from a broken cheekbone.. Some courtesy of my job some courtesy of my ex.. Most unusual scar . I tripped when little my knee landed.. In our poor sleeping German shepherds open mouth.

Other half has scars on his hands from surgery. One on his chin.. Bouncers assumed he was blind d*unk, and threw him down some stairs. He is actually diabetic and having a hypo.

I have quite a few.

The front of my knees are like a pirate treasure map, x marks the spot, from 3 separate keyhole surgeries, very small marks but I notice them.

One on the inside of my right knee from falling off my bike at 8 and the pedal going into it, needed 4 stitches.

One on the front of my left knee from falling over on the playground at school and getting a stone stuck in it.

Small one on inside of my wrist from burning myself with the iron.

Chicken pox scar on my right eyelid. And I think that completes the collection, so far anyway, hopefully that'll be the lot

I grew up working with horses, then got into motorcycles and have raced both, my body bears witness to a lot of mistreatment. Gavin's said that I heal well, one accident left me with 400 stitches in one half of my face but only a few small scars remain. Arms legs back chest all have reminders of times gone by. My hide would not make good quality leather.

One under my chin - aged 6 falling from a wonky drainpipe. Two on each knee from various scrapes and falls as a kid. One on my thumb - a result of an accident when I used my doll's pram as a go-cart (was a bit of a tomboy).

Large vertical scar on abdomen from an operation to remove tumours.

Too many to Count including probably over a hundred lacerations, big burn from a 250c hob, lots from scratches with finger nails, few old whip ones and a lot of stretch marks.

Overall not the best cosmetic condition
