On my break at work... Sat outside having a cigarette... In the space of 5 minutes I had 2 random guys stop and say hello to me... What the fuck?! Completely random. Bit worried! Do I have something in my teeth?! A hole in my trousers?! Or is it just so interesting that I'm sat on my own? Argh |

I'm in my work trousers and hoodie. Hair plastered to my face cos its so hot at work. No makeup. If this is the look that guys go for I may stick to it in the future!!! Haha |

I'm always saying hello and smiling at people when I'm out and about! It just makes the world a nice place for a minute or two!

God you'd hate me...I'll chat to anyone I was in Denmark and there was this d*unk man with a guitar who was homeless people ran from him I had a really pleasant conversation with him....his English was perfect it was nice |

I like it when girls smile at me, or when they give you the cheeky eye even with their bf on their side. Like my grandma used to say 'make an effort even if you go to the corner shop, you never know who you'll bump into'  |

There was a thread recently from a young chap. He posted about the woman smiling at him at the petrol station and it making his day.
I put up my smiling avatar because of that thread.
I regularly just start chatting to people. I even ended up with shoes (well, my FitFlops) as a result of a random conversation on the train back from Newcastle.
The four men on a blokes night out had me asking what they were eating when I was in a restaurant (much to the embarrassment of my friend) as their food looked good.
OP, if you don't want to chat to them then just smile and say that you are just having a quiet moment and would appreciate some time with your thoughts.

In response to pretty much everyone.. no I've never been chatted up before. I don't mind when people smile and say hi in passing but it was the fact that they started talking to me when there was no reason to. Fair enough if they asked for a lighter then sat on the bench for a fag.. or if they made a comment because we were both sitting alone... But the first one walked past me then turned around and randomly asked me if I was busy, where I work etc... The second guy walked straight up to me and said hi and asked how I was as if I knew him (i don't know any black guys well enough to randomly chat to, I'd know if i knew him) ... The third guy stopped walking, tipped his hat at me and said 'good day' which was strange but kinda sweet.
My point is, its never happened before then it happens 3 times in 1 hour...!
Do you not see how weird that is?
And to whoever asked... Yes I do fancy a shag! Lol |

I often smile at people and say hi, it makes me feel good, though often makes them nervous.
The other thing I do is give away spare flowers, I frequently require a solitary rose , and it's often easier to buy a bunch take the one I want then give the rest to a random stranger... funny how women under about 50 seem very nervous about taking them.  |

I love when random people say hi... I used to walk home in the very early hours (like 5am) after nights out and where i lived if others passed you from nights out you would have a chuckle about it.. Old men walking dogs would usually say 'mornin young 'un' which was always sweet i thought |
