In fairness I was on the other side of his political spectrum. As a child he terrified me as a teen his rhetoric repulsed me. His comments bigoted and divisive. Comments like the Irish gov is the whore of Rome. But in senior years he didn't mellow but more of a case accepting. He swallowed the bitter pill of power sharing with republicans and doing business with Irish public. Not only did he take the role on he excelled and helped make it work with people he spent his life opposing. His latter years will be what he achieved most in and what he should be remembered for
