He faces up to 15 years in prison.
Judge Thokozile Masipa is currently going through her judgement, which mentions evidence that could not be relied upon and so on...... |

A quick update for you all.
The court has not imposed any new bail conditions and so the current bail conditions remain in place.
Sentencing procedures take place on 13th October. |

For the record, I was hoping for a guilty verdict on the Murder charge.
It would seem that he was acquitted on a technicality, in that the prosecution had not proved beyond reasonable doubt that the accused was guilty of premeditated murder.
The state argued that Mr Pistorius had had an argument with Ms Steenkamp, after which he deliberately shot her dead.
The judge ruled this had not been proved, as there was only circumstantial evidence of an argument - uncorroborated witnesses' statements. |

"He has been staying at his Uncle's and will continue to untill October. Unbelievable especially now that he has actually been convicted "
I wonder how often his uncle thought better of a late night pee and held it in ? |

I wonder if after his release society will make his life hell as it did to Ched Evans. I suspect South Africans will be much more forgiving and he'll resume his life almost as if nothing happened. |
