Woke up this morning and saw a friends Facebook status saying that U2 have uploaded their album to every apple device..
Thought that can't be right, checked my music and there it was!!

Yes their music leaves me cold now. I used to be a big fan but they have sacrificed quality music for the sake of earning more money. Bonos ego and pontificating pisses me off too..he should practice what he preaches!  |

It's amused me just how big the backlash has been against U2 for this.
And U2 got paid a fuckton of cash by Apple it wasn't given away free and Bono will have had plenty of more money to avoid paying tax on |

I'm taking my ipod in to Apple next week to tell them that an annoying whining has appeared on it, as well as my Macbook and that i seem to have been infecting by some nasty little virus. if everyone does that it'll cost Apple a shite load of money in wasted 'expert' time.
If they want to give away some free music, let me have a choice of something decent instead of their desperate regurgitated music by numbers shite |

Just as irritatng is apple wont allow flash player to be loaded on iphones and pads. Once ive purchased it its mine and i should have freedom to download or not download what i choose and not be dicttated to by some twat whos fallen out with another company.
On a different theme im also pissed off with Audi i asked them to turn off the service reminder light as i want to choose when i have my car serviced and they say its not possible grrrrrrr |

Flash for mobile devices hasn't been supported by Adobe for about 3 years, its pretty much dead in the water and should get replaced by HTML5 based websites over the next few years |

If you don't complain about global corps forcing things on you retrospectively or burying them in updates and keeping fairly quiet about it, then in future you'll have things like Facebook building in code to their app to monitor you through your webcam and microphone to find out what tv you watch, what you chat about and basically spy i your every move, so they can sell the data to other companies so they in turn can try and sell you other shit you may well have no interest in. Privacy is quickly being eroded from sneaky use of technology by corporation and governmental organisations- at some point you may find you have no choice left |

Mine must be the only phone it hasn't been downloaded to and I'm a fan of the band, ended up downloading it to my mac, listened to the album about 8 times now, slowly liking the album, but obviously not as good as their early work, still gunna see them when they tour next year though |

this is why i don't use apps very much (and i have no social media stuff in my actual name either). They're welcome to any data they harvest from me as i run on 98% bullshit and sarcasm with 1.75% dull and pointless shit of little interest to most people (ok, the other 98% might also fall into that category too).

I've still not upgraded to a smartphone yet, my phone does text messages and phone calls and thats all i need it to do. I saw this about about U2 on sky news last night and lots of people are complaining they don't want the album on their phones. Even if the album is free people should make the choice themselves if they download it or not. When i do finally get a smartphone it won't be an apple device of any kind after this stunt. |
