We have the ones reversing out of their drives in big 4x4s that can't see out of the back windows on mobiles bearing in mind they are coming down off the pavement we are scooting/ cycling on
Yesterday had a close one as the children had already just gone past the car they screamed as it reversed into me! |

A few years ago the mums were complaining in the playground about a police officer who was pulling them for being on their mobiles while on the school run. He was in the same place every morning for two weeks. One mum got done twice. I can't remember her exact words but they were something like "why isn't he out catching real criminals" |

When I used to reguarly drive past a school during the drop of time I was amazed at some of the parents actions, set of dedicated traffic lights and crossing guard. ...still run across the road dragging the kid so they don't have to walk an extra 20 feet.
Lots of larking a bit further away
.. nope line both sides of the road forcing traffic to single lane with no way to see the kamakazi parents running from between the cars.
Pulling u turns everywhere.
All pulling out with their head facing the rear seat checking the baby is still in the child seat etc.
The only logical conclusion I can draw from the actions of parents at drop off time is they want either theirs or others kids dead.
There is simply no other explanation for the stupidity.
(On the subject of d*unk vs mobile at least the d*unk is looking at the road....) |

A multi ton range rover even at low speed contains vastly more momentum than a a small car.
is incredibly dangerous in an impact with pedestrians especially children as it forces them under neath instead of over like cares are designed to do.
It has considerably worse vision around the vehicle especially with rags to small children
It's still fucking stupid but the outcome is gonna be a lot lot worse with a big 4x4 than a small care designed for pedestrian safety in the event of an impact |

They are entitled to cross a pavement to get out of their drive and onto the road. Cycling/scooting is actually illegal on the pavement. |

I would take their details and report as police statistics show they have less to do atm. Also photos are good for publicity and shaming. Call local media too. It's different to drinking smoking etc due to the amount and type of brain power involved plus they can't see. |

I have nearly had a school run mum knock me over as she was too busy texting to see the lights had gone red at the crossing, i noted the time and red number of the car & reported her to the police, as she was on contract they were able to see she was on the phone at that time and was done for driving without due care and attention and got points aswell!
Dont just let people get away with it take down their details and report to 101 |
