She's wearing her hair longer which will make it look thinner.
As for the age, well she has to be heading for fifty. In which case she's looking good. Losing weight ages you as well (fat plumps up the skin). |

She's 56! I hope I look as good at that age.
This is the second post on the forums lately about women looking worse because they're getting on a bit. Can we try not to live up to the stereotype that looks are youth are the only things that matter for women? |

A few months ago a lady in her early 60s posted on here, she looked amazing, I think there are some very attractive older ladies around! |

Im not saying looks and youth are all that matters but we all have to get old and you cant help notice when someone who has always been pretty is starting to look old. its a fact of life not a bad thing. |

Aging is a fact of life. I wonder if you would be happy if a post was put up on a forum about you getting on a bit. |

Its the sort of thing you hear people say all the time and knowing dawn French she probably would laugh it off because she probably isn't the type of person who worries about things like that. And yes I know I don't look as good as I did, I don't expect to at my age. we cant all be joan Collins can we. |

Isn't it odd. We love so many things as they get older - furniture, cheese, wine, cars....
Yet we look upon each other, as human beings, with fear and pity.
'Doesn't she look old'...cuts like a knife to the very core... |

Or 'Don't you think she looks tired?' |

"Just spoke the Dawn and she said time hasn't been too kind to you either."
That made me laugh
A famous person who's actually human and does not have everything nipped and tucked, who's have thought
The sad thing is people now days almost expect famous women to go under the knife and are shocked when they don't |

Yes tired, then you wonder if they are ok, have they got anything wrong with them. |

"Just seen dawn French on the one show and noticed she is starting to look old.
and her hairs looking thiner, still cant stay young forever I suppose."
Good on her, she is being herself and does not need to apologise to anyone, in life or on the web! |

No as I said I admire women who don't have plastic surgery, not shocked at all just making a comment that's all, not sure why people are so offended by it. I don't suppose I will be the only one to mention it and I don't think dawn will be reading these forums some how. |

I think it depends on the country you live in. In other countries they revere the older generation.
I think Dawn French is great. My friend met her hubby by putting a personal dating ad in the paper stating that she was a Dawn French lookalike. He replied and the rest is history. |

"Last month I saw a stand up doing a small routine about Lenny Henry and Dawn French, amusing to an extent, but a bit cruel in some ways. " And I think Lenny Henry was the love of her life too . Maybe that's why she look a little sad in pics as still very much love him and people can be cruel at times when there s no love coming back.

Don't really understand the point of this thread. Seemed as if the OP was surprised by someone looking older, seems a little self evident.
We got up this morning and was amazed at the sky being so blue, the grass so green but the thing that really blew our minds was how damp the water was when we had our shower....
