Why do people say they are bored on here? What's appealing about a bored person?

Being bored is not a bad thing.

When Einstein was bored he had time to think. Then he theorised relativity.

Some very creative thinkers are often bored.

I agree that being bored creates a space to think and invent but, for me, that essentially shows you're not bored. He didn't look for someone else to fix his boredom.

Absolutely spot on. I see being bored as having nothing to occupy your brain. I am never bored. I can always find things to occupy my mind.

To be honest there are times I wish I could switch my brain off - cos it stops me from sleeping

That's how I look at it.

My main complaint is that the bored on here state it in a way that suggests we should entertain them.

One of my all time classic messages started with, just a bored married man...
