I remember that years ago, German doctors conducted research into secondary heart attacks.
People who had a heart attack were split into two groups (500 in each group). One group was put on special diets, told to exercise regularly, special medications etc. The other group were told to accept what had happened and to get on with the rest of their lives.
The incidence of secondary heart attacks were far greater in the group that had been advised to take care.
No doubt that the constant 'reminding' of diet, exercise, medications etc. produced a subconscious negative effect.
Do you have any examples? |

Nowhere near enough data to reach an objective conclusion
500 people is a tiny selection .what was the randomisation , what was the control what was the time scale what was the final death rate .what other health conditions
This is an example of a scientific study being reported a conclusion given but the data omitted
Then from this people do what people do they speculate
Please remember
Correlation does not always mean causation xx
Sounds an interesting study though x |
