My Burger King Complaint. .

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Will I get a reply...

Im about to go double whopper on the king of burgers. It's also important to add I do not complain, I have never officially recorded a complaint and I normally let things go but this whopper is about to get the full cheese and gherkin.

You have a, 'resturant' based in Bamberbridge/Walton Le dale, resturant being the operative word, not well advertised to the general public so some people may say,  "it's a hidden gem".... not me it's more of a hidden hell.

Most Burger Kings are littered with adults, children and spare tables can be hard to come by... However the only thing this Burger King it's littered by is empty tables, a empty car park and zombies which are called chefs or something.

Tonight I made my second visit to this resturant bearing in mind I have lived here for 25 years and I hear not one person speak of this resturant.

Anyhow my first visit I thought was going to be my last but as they say all things deserve a second chance.. I'm just thick and I should of known. On my first visit it was around 6 o'clock and the resturant was empty (go figure) so I decided to use the drive thru.. I WAITED AT LEAST 15 MINUTES for a double whopper burger? I can't remember the exact date but 15 MINUTES, no other customers? Hardly any staff to be seen?! The burger was nice but don't tell me quality takes time and effort... that was a joke... I could only presume the zombie, sorry chef was out bludgeoning the laughing cow to death but no cow nor myself was laughing. . The only person laughing was the cashier who must of been thinking I was mad sat there waiting.  So after that experience I was mortified and vowed NEVER to revisit again. . Until tonighthowever when my brother decided he would like a burger king.. After much warning I couldn't talk him out of it.

Fast forward 3 weeks and here we aretoday, now present with my already jaded opinion sorely savaged from my trip 30 minutes ago to hell on earth.. AGAIN. We ordered (reciet included above) RODEO BBQ Burger obviously the time lapse must of been the rodeo being hacked to death. Double cheese burger.. double the waiting time.. belgain waffle..and 6 chilli cheese bits... OH MY GOD WHERE DO I START?!?!?! Shockingly we arrived to find a family of 4 just arrived before us (hard to believe I know) which ended up returning two burgers as they were wrong.. only presume the staff aren't equipped for more then a handful of people at the same time.. sooooo after spending €3.79 on a cheese burger my brother realised he could of got 3 of them from the pound menu.. The burger was tiny... really tiny... why didn't the cashier suggest other options to up sell products? The BBq rodeo was bigger! The cheese chilli bite were NOT cooked and the waffle.. well that was ok. I CANT BELIEVE IM SAYING THIS AGAIN.. We waited for 20 minutes for the food?! What is going on?!

We will prepare and sell quick service food to fulfill our guest's needs more accurately, quickly, courteously

First of all this resturant doesn't do quick, one speed only.. yeah.. slow. Unprepared and not organised. This opinion is formed from a second visit! Fulfil guests needs.. food cooked to eating standards would be a start. Accurately?  Other customers are returning products IN A EMPTY RESTURANT!!!

I CANT BELIEVE WHAT A BAD SOUR TAKE THIS RESTURANT HAS LEFT THAT I AM COMPELLED TO COMPLAIN.

I bet the store is in negative equity on a weekly basis, promote the store more, spend money on your marketing budget, pay for staff training externally or internally, hire more staff! Target your market.. mainly motorists as it's just before the motorway. . However don't promote fast service for people just finishing work.. that would be silly. I take it this Burger King is a franchise or its a titanic waiting to happen.

If you can justify the waiting times ill be shocked. You can't say you staff to customer demand because basic business principles suggest spending more to accumulate more. You need to address this as it's consistent and it's obviously a problem.

Sorry for the rant but I genuinely enjoy Burger King at other locations but this one here is an absolute let down and you ought to be ashamed that this branch represent burger king.

Many thanks

If it's that bad I'm surprised it's still open. All fast food chain outlets are franchises so have an extra incentive to be profitable.

LONDON (se)

Now I can possibly explain the wait. Due to the fact tey are nit a busy place I would say cooking stacks of burgers is not cost affective. There for made to order which takes more time.

No explanation for the rest but that is my take on the time thing.

I'm pretty sure that you'll not only get a reply but probably some vouchers too.

I complained to McDonalds years and years ago as most mornings on my way to work, I would pop in for a Sausage and Egg McMuffin after getting off the tube.

One morning I also ordered a milkshake, but was told that they were not available until after 10:30.

Why I asked? I don't see anywhere on the menu's where this is stated and the Milkshake machine is not being used for anything else. I mean, I can understand why I can't get a cheeseburger - the grills are in use.

Anyhoo - I complained through the website and received an apologetic letter assuring me that they would speak with the restaurant in question and I got a £5 McDonlads voucher.

About a week later, I called in to the same restaurant and, chancing my arm, ordered a milkshake.

'Sorry sir, but milkshake's aren't available until after 10:30 am'

I just gave up at this point.

Problem with a lot of these places is that they're all franchises and the Duty managers tend to be kids (Well, not quite but you know what I mean - staff that have worked there for more than 6 months - lol)

The left arms and right arms never communicate with each other - result = disgruntled customers.

One teeny bit of advice though. Run it through a spell checker and give it another read through

for example

"I CANT BELIEVE WHAT A BAD SOUR TAKE THIS RESTURANT HAS LEFT THAT I AM COMPELLED TO COMPLAIN. "

I'm sure you meant to say bad sour TASTE?

If I were writing this complaint, I might word it differently, and try to make it a little shorter, but that's just me.

Make sure you make it abundantly clear at the top of your letter that it is a complaint.

Consider sending it to the Chief Executive of Burger King if you can find his / her details

The thing with complaints is that whatever level of the company they come in at, they try to stop it escalating up the levels of management.

Go in at the top and the complaint is MUCH more visible and tends to result in action.

McDonald's, Long Rock, Penzance, Cornwall... 35 minutes for two burgers, a coffee and a salad... Has pineapple slices sigh on show, on asking had run out ... 5 orders for pineapple slices later I could not stand it and suggested they took the sign down 'oo, that's a good idea as we don't have any' ...

The salad was ordered as a meal alternative to chips, its a poorly promoted option. The bag contained the burger, the salad and chips ...

The building was full of people waiting for their orders ... Nobody eating and the drive through was trying to mimic the m25 in heavy rain.

However, the worse was on the M40, Leigh Delamare I think. Some weird name of burger place, orders taken in 5, delivered in 20, ... Seating area swarming with flies... That was puke worthy ...

Check if they have a boatbook page, they always answer feedback there very promptly.

Personally I can't believe how bad they are in this country compared to the USA. The exception appears to be Westfield in shepards bush. Exact opposite of McDonald's.

I can't find any credible evidence that McDonald's has funded the IRA. The closest I can find is that they contribute to the Individual Retirement Accounts, sometimes called IRA in the States.

This reminds me of those peeps who smashed up a Paediatrician's Surgery following a less than astute belief in his purpose....

One of my friends had a similar experience at McDonald's at Paddington. Went there as he thought it would be quick and then missed his train after waiting 10 minutes for a mcmuffin.

The whole point of fast food is that it's convenient. Take that away and it just becomes crap food

Rule one of Burger King: only order what you can see on display.

That means parking up and going in to the restaurant.

The Burger King by us, cooks food to order rather than having lots already cooked. I dont mind waiting as it's always hot and fresh and not been left sitting about under the heater.
