Ok I am not expecting miracle's here and most forum users will know how to conduct themselves on here, women can also answer, but after being on here for so long and maybe it is the lack of clubs etc in Scotland and therefore means single guys have no idea what it is all about.....
Does a 2 line profile serve you well?
Does a 1 line message get you the response you desire?
If not...have you changed your response/profile if and when it has been pointed out?
I'm just curious about how men conduct themselves in different parts of the UK from up here? There is a distinct lack of respect for the female counterpart (obviously just my opinion) My thoughts are because there is a lack of clubs etc, men here think we are just here to be picked up no matter what we are looking for?
I don't mean this to be an anti men thread I am genuinely interested if say the midlands etc (with their numerous clubs) show a different culture?

I've never sent a onliner messages nor been told if I needed to change anything on my profile.
However if it was suggested that it would be a good idea, say if my profile or approach wasn't up to par, I would then change that |

Not something I have ever done, nor ever would. My profile is a decent length. My messages are specific and polite when I bother to contact anyone. That's speaking, as you ask about guys in the midlands. I've had plenty success as my verifications show.
But to answer the rest of your question....most guys seem to fit your pattern. They are Nobs, dreamers and no hopers. That's why so many of them are here on the forums moaning about their lack of success! |

No, I don't think there is likely much difference although I obviousy don't know. I'm saying that it's probably just more aware to you because you are actually there. Do you think there might be a difference and if so why?

I've Never sent a one line message, always read profiles and try to tailor each individual message to the profile. Someone did say once my profile was too long, so difficult to get the right balance, but i would say 2 lines in a profile is too short.
Always open to constructive criticism about my profile though.

I would guess it doesn't matter which part of the country you are in, you would still get the type of message you, receive. Personally I always read the profile and make any message fit. Never send one line messages.
If I could turn the debate on its head....how many actually read messages sent? I often wonder if my messages are deleted without being read. Its not very often someone who I message actually views my profile. Maybe just me! |

Surprisingly enough some of us manage more than two lines on a profile and read profiles before sending messages.
I'm pretty sure their must be similar guys in your neck of the woods. |

Because they didn't show up on who's looked at me. I realised after posting my previous, that my message may not have fitted their requirements, even though I have read profiles etc. Sometimes I just feel that however much effort you put into a message its just deleted out of hand. They could have looked in stealth mode, so then would not show on your "looked at me list". |

I am in the midlands, and yes the majority of messages I get are exactly the same. It's so refreshing to see an interesting first message, and then read a good profile, that I always try to reply even if its a 'no thanks' because they don't fit what I'm looking for |

I started chatting to a lady on here recently, she messaged saying tell me a bit more about yourself.
my reply was 4 paragraphs in total, about 14 or 15 lines of text, and she replied, sorry I haven't got time to read your essays lol!!!!
