There was a time when kissing a women on the cheek as part of a greeting or farewell (who wasn't your wife) would have been unheard of or the cause of social uproar. Never mind the fact that a women showing her ankles in public risked being branded a hussy!
In 25, 50 or even 100 years from now will recreational sex with multiple partners have lost it's social stigma, especially for women?
Will infidelity one day become a redundant term because people want their sex lives to be free or would that be the nightmare breakdown of society that some people dread? |

I think,as with everything to do with human expansion it will hit a ceiling and collapse. Get so out of hand that we will revert back to Puritanism. I would liked to have written this better but I'm tired and my granddaughter is screeching out a song at the top of her lungs. My brain is about to explode |

Interesting question.
It's easy to imagine that recreational sex with multiple partners might loose its remaining stigma as people become less inhibited by society's "moralistic" neuroses.
On the other hand, if Britain follows the lead of the US (when America sneezes, we catch a cold), it's possible we might start to adopt the less atractive puritanical traits currently on the rise over there.
It's anybody's guess I suppose. |
