Ok I'm a little confused here.

I've just been winked at by a couple and when I tried to look at the winkers...Their profile is hidden.

What can I do

Nothing!

It's hidden. You can try messaging them, asking them to unhide it, but you may not get far!

Say Hello, and I'm sure they will unhide whilst you peek, some folks unhide for a moment whilst people look because they don't want to be seen in general in case someone knows them.

Same way you message a non-hidden one. Click the 'send message' link on the left hand side.

I get why some hide their profile some take time out etc i don't get why those who are actively looking do though, i got a message today from a guy who had hidden his profile so i just ignored it, i cant be bothered mailing people to asking simple things their profile would answer

The option to message is still there on the desktop site, not sure about the phone app.

They're ninjas. Had to deal with ninjas before. Booby trap your doors with punji sticks, lay egg shells on the floors, acquire some bladed weapons and pretend to be asleep. The rest is just a waiting game!
