Well ladies as from today the EU have legislated that you can't have a motor in your New vacuum of more than 1600 watts,,,, )
so remember when you re giving head to reduce the suction, blow jobs will never be the same again, |

"Ah yes, one of the most ridiculous pieces of EU legislation for some time. And that is quite an accolade given some of the other legislation to come out of the EU!"
apparently they're reducing it to less than 900 watts in 2017.
Get your Great blow jobs while you can lads, people's verifications will be very different soon. |

Aren't they reducing that to 1200W in a few years time? They must have had a slow day and picked something out of a hat. If ever anything was an advert for leaving the EU that is. |

The same bunch of pen pushers have said that hair dryers need to be reduced in power as well! |

I can't see the problem myself. Reduce the power in all electric appliances so they get used longer to achieve the same effect as they used to.Because using an electrical appliance for longer saves energy

"Hairdryers, kettles and toasters next.
its a minxie law innit
Oh goodness, lower power means needing to use them for longer, giving Minxie more time to create a disaster with them "
Completely agree, power is irrelevant its efficiency. If you need hot water for a shower or washing up a quick blast at 10kw is the way to go. |

correct me if I am wrong (and I probably am ) but as I pay an extortionate price for my electricity is it not up to me how powerful my hoover is ... I would rather have it full wattage and get the job done than paying even more electric charges to be still hoovering and hour later !!!
only good thing to come from this ....
looks like tom will be giving me my tiled floors after all

Washing machines will be next, with the EU ruling that there is nothing above a 40oC wash.
Leading to my next anticipated 'breakthrough' domestic technology, Antibacterial Washing Powder.

This is not about real world this is a document signed up to back in the 90's that got forgotten about, now they need to show some effort has gone into compliance forget the fact that a lower powered kettle takes longer to boil 1 litre of water using the same net amount of energy this is just a spreadsheet exercise that shows 20% saving in wattage x however million people = compliance.
look under the rug and there are virtually no vacuum cleaners using 1600wats anyway.
As for suck like a dyson in my experience dysons leak due to poor casing so 50% of the suck is actually a blow out of another orifice, which is not overly desirable in the bedroom |

Well my Henry and my Henry's big brother workshop vacuum are still allowed until 2017 at least! tried to find a new one for a relative who wanted to panic buy and all the known brand good ones we found were 1300 to 1600 wat with only 2 being over that so obviously we are missing some best buys |
