Great film, Pete Postlethwaite was a legend.
Have played most of the music in various brass bands and orchestras down the years, and was lucky enough to appear as part of the band in a professional stage version. |

It was very exciting - not only from a performance point of view... The cute Toby Sawyer (I strongly suspect he's a fan of bbc - not the broadcasting corporation...) was in the cast, and I dated one of the stage managers a few years later. |
