Ok, my boiler was working fine today, then it made a few rumbles and seemed to just stop, now I have no hot water or heating! So Help!

It looks like the pilot light is not igniting (yes, the red light has appeared) Does anyone have any ideas what/how/why? And how to bloody sort it?

The pressure had reduced but I have put it back up to 1.5 but doesn't appear to have helped any.....so all suggestions apart from have you turned it on and off again are more than welcome

Google the manual and read it online. I've had to do that to figure out what the error code was that mine was throwing up.

Ok, Proud of myself, this little short arse found unknown instructions on a pull down lid. And I have now found the problem! I have reset the pressure, reset the pilot light and hey presto....hot water and heating back on, who needs a bloody man???

So what you did in essence was turn it off and on again?

Now you have to keep an eye on the pressure dropping again as if it does it often you could have a leak or a problem with a part on the boiler.

I jumped in here to late lol, im a heating engineer. keep a check on the pressure as someone else said it if it goes up to the red whilst running its the expansion vessel, if it just goes down you have a leak

Its almost always the pressure and a top up usually sorts it out, just watch out if you have to do it a lot, loss of pressure equals leaks

If it does keep dropping pressure and you cannot find a leak I'd check the pressure relief valve ,could be letting by that's enough testosterone tonight ,well done to you though
