I have been doing the same kind of job all my working life but although i have lots of experience at it i didn't have a qualification in it (i did first aid etc thou).
I never really wanted to do the work involved in getting a qualification but my boss then mistakenly thought that everyone had to have a qualification to carry on doing the job long term so i bit the bullet and did it, work paid and i did a higher level than i actually needed and wow do i feel good about it
My boss actually got that info wrong but as i did it for free then i don't mind and i feel so proud of myself
I havn't got a pay rise thou but can't have everything lol
It feels good to do something worthwhile for myself

Started the long slog to becoming an IT tutor. Just enrolled for BTEC 1st in IT level 2"

Good luck, as someone who entered my vocation later, as I didn't deem myself mature enough to follow it seriously straight away, I know it can be a challenge. Good luck for your adventure! |
