not sure if people are aware but you can purchase one or more of the ceramic poppies that are forming the display at the Tower of London.
They cost £25 each and the proceeds are being split between 6 charities supporting the aftermath of wars and conflicts.

Get out, have a look and look at the board which shows the close-up of the poppy design. From a distance you can't see the undulation of the waves of poppies planted at different levels.

It's beautiful, we saw them a few weeks ago. They move in the wind. Loads of volunteers 'planting' the poppies when we were there. |

"Has anyone else been to visit recently?"
Went on Saturday with my mum. It was an amazing sight, as others have said, and very moving too.
I've purchased poppies for my nephews. |

We are just back from the tower. It's truly magnificent. It really took our breath away.
Can't believe how busy it was as well, but well worth a visit for anyone who hasn't been. |

I went yesterday. Theu are stunningly beautiful. The photos I took don't do them justice. Although I did get a great shot of the poppies, the castle and The Shard which is a fantastic contrast of old and new. |

Poppies all sold now which is great for the charities...was hoping to get 1 or 2 as we won't be able to go and see them on display which is a shame as we do enjoy a trip to the Tower.. |

Went on Tue with family visiting and we are going next week, very humbling..
Have been to the Menin gate several times, tyne cot and Langemark amongst others and to be honest I did not think the poppies would be so moving..
its very well done and a bit of an 'oh my' moment..
RIP the fallen.. |

They are all sold out. We ordered ours a while back & supposed to be receiving it at the end of November.
We visited today, incredibly busy!! So busy they closed Tower Hill station!!
An amazing sight to see.
My son is a serving Grenadier Guard & was also on Guard today. It was such a special day as it was my first time seeing him on Guard.
Reading the sign that says 888,000 poppies for every soldier that lost their life in WW1 bought a lump to my throat, very emotional. |

Yes wonderful for rememberance of all loved ones lost not just WW1. I got mine to remember my mum. Lost her 18 months back, she loved poppies. So it just seemed the right thing to do. Bought mine on the first day they were on sale. And I managed to go see them a month back p |
