Hi

Out of the films that have been remade/ updated which is your favourite the original or the newer version?

With hairspray, I love the orginal version with Rikki Lake and Divine!!

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Always the original. This applies to films, TV, and music.

Nothing was ever remade better.

.

Concur, as I struggle to think of a remake that is better than the original.

Back of Beyond

Just been on sky that Tom Cruise is going to reprise his role of the pilot in Top Gun. Brought up to date though so he should at least be a general by now LOL seriously, the film was made in 1986, 24 years ago! he would have been retired from flying after maybe 10 years, so it'll be an interesting movie

I think at the end of the Movie he said he was going to be a teacher at Top Gun, so there's where it will start I guess.

Newcastle and Gateshead

I can't think of a film where the remake has been anywhere near the original.... sorry..... most remakes have ruined the original.... closest no ruined remake for me is Oceans 11.......

War of the Worlds was better but obviously that was down to CGI, I remember watching the original a few weeks back and the film makers didn't even try to hide the wires that where holding up the alien ships.
