I am a self confessed forum know it all. There are so many threads that I want to answer but I can imagine eyes rolling and someone saying .......ffs is she burbling on again?
So I sit on my hands at times to avoid from boring myself let alone anyone else.
Do you ever take a step back or delete posts because you don't want to appear a know it all? (even if you do, I've been around a long time)  |

I actually know way more about cars - especially Alfa Romeos - than MrWho.
I just let him answer all the technical and car related threads as it keeps him busy and stops him sending fancy a fuck messages to everyone.

Alot of threads dont have a precise answer that is absolute, and those are perhaps the ones to answer if you feel that you have encyclopedic knowledge. Put your mind to the softer things in life that can make all the difference, in terms of quality, to others. Few like those who always have the correct answer, especially if reeled off like someone out to prove something - it would be no challenge to them. Its good the op has sat on their hands when they felt it was inappropriate, as this shows good sensitivity that others sometimes dont have. I chip in, am often way off mark, but like to add something. Many issues are raised where solutions are entirely subjective to the asker but a variety of ideas can be gratefully received. |

I like to add to the nonsense threads and generally keep things light. As Ms sexy Honeypot says, there are those cyclical threads which some of us have seen over the years and we do tend to read and observe rather than run away with the thread. |
