Tommy by The Who is by far the best, followed by The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust And the Spiders from Mars - David Bowie

This, I have recently discovered the joys of Floyd after trying to avoid them for the last 30 years, maybe my taste has changed but I have been watching clips on YouTube and also full shows of The Wall in all it's glory, mind blowing, simply mind blowing

In a similar vein you can't beat The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band or Viv Stanshall's Rawlinson At Rawlinson End.

I have to say The Defamation of Strickland Banks by Place B gets my vote. Totally outstanding, I could hear it every day and not get bored of it.

I was named after Tommy and I agree, it's a brilliant album. I'd also like to add

Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness by Coheed & Cambria.

Side 2 of The Small Faces Ogdens Nut Gone Flake narrated by Prof Stanley Unwin is truly amazing and takes some beating.

Pet Sounds. Unfortunately I was not around when it was released, but it spurred the Beatles on to Sgt Pepper.
