According to bbc radio 2 the 5 greatest guitar riffs of all time are
5. Layla - Eric Clapton
4. Smoke on the water - Deep Purple
3. AC/DC - Back in black
2. Guns n Roses - sweet child o mine
1 LED ZEPPELIN - WHOLE LOTTA LOVE
I can get on board with four of five here, just never liked sweet child o mine. The number one spot really isn't up for debate. What do you think folks, whats your top five |

They may be the most popular but the best? Don't think so...
Van Halen's first album contains at least 5 songs with better riffs than those...and that album doesn't even have 'Unchained' on it!
'Whole Lotta Love' isn't even LZ's best riff! |

Not a chance I have seen the top 10 people don't know the difference between an opening to a Riff
I love Guns N' Roses but sweet child not a chance it's not even in the top 10 off the Appetite For Destruction album alone ..
Plus no Black Sabbath or Ozzy Osbourne in the top 10 |
