What's in your pie?

Bolton

So I read that a hospital in Dundee were serving a fry-up breakfast in a pie! I like fry-ups and I like pies but not sure if that combo would work However I did like the pizza pie I had last time I was in Edinburgh

The last time I went to a local chain of bakers they were selling steak, ale and stilton...they've poshed-up!

What's your pie of choice? Sweet or savoury? What shouldn't work but does?

There's a pub near me that is well known for it's 2in1 pies, so you choose your main filling & side order - it's all then baked in one pie. My favourite is having one side steak & mushroom , the other side cauliflower cheese.

Can't beat a lovely steak or mince pie!

Mr sometimes experiments with pie fillings, we've had some random concoctions!

Ham and egg - not so unusual until you add cheese.

Beans and sausages actually very nice.

It's a fun way to spend an afternoon too. I like to do it with scones.

Haddock & Leek, from Simple Simons Pies, is my current favourite pie.

If I were to design a pie I would like to try Chocolate and Raspberry Pie with custard

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I'm not a great fan of pies, though I'll eat some sorts occasionally.

I had a couple of chicken tikka samosas a few days ago that were wonderful.

Savoury wise I am partial to a fish pie. Or a Pie Minister Heidi on special occasions. I had a chocolate and guiness pie once that was lush. But cherry pie or rhubarb and vanilla is the bestest. Cold or hot with custard. Now I want pudding and there is nothing available, not even an emergency packet of fig rolls.
