I had to phone in sick today for the first time in over 10 years because i have had a right sore throat and a chest infection.
Was gutted that i phoned in because i hate taking days off. Suppose one day is no harm done with my attendance record.

My daughter's a nursery nurse and always catches a cold from the kids.
She had a nasty cough but kept smoking: that really pissed me off so she got little sympathy from me until she collapsed and couldn't breath.
The rapid response ambulance was there in what seemed like secomds, the "proper" ambulance not far behind.
They gave her oxygen and whisked her to hospital where she stayed for two weeks: with pneumonia!
That said, it's a well known fact men are big babies, so you all need tough love: get a grip, suck it up and walk it off lol!
Well I never claimed to be Mary Secole! |

tonsilitis is terrible as you get older - any one who suffers with them has my sympathies - I haven't got any but haven't had them removed! Z |

"how the hell did you manage to catch a cold in the summer?"
The cold virus is not specific to being summer or winter. Its people are more run down in winter and so can catch bugs more easily. |
