The FBI have no power to operate outside the US, although they have, for some time have 'assisted' other police forces around the world from time to time. They also have had personnel on aircraft operated by US carriers.

Homeland security...the clue is in the name...only operate at home.

The FBI guys (13 of them) are here to gather information by talking to our intelligence services. They are not here to do any form of policing.

It's just the usual crap from the British ragtop press!

That's just newspaper bullshit they won't be guarding they just may have agents on passport control like we do at times at foreign airports. It always amazes me the about of people who take it as read what they see in the papers.

Air marshal, part of yet another u.s. leo branch.

Yes the fbi, and other federal leo organisations, only have a remit on American soil and in certain defined circumstances, however they can either be invited in or ask for cooperation from foreign organisations. They won't be guarding. Think about it,,..firstly, they don't guard American airports, secondly, from a sheer manpower perspective its impossible for the fbi to send enough agents to guard the uk and supposedly guard the u.s. and thirdly, special relationship or not it's not in the u.s. national interest to guard theuk.

Before my fellow forumites jump on a bandwagon of outrage or other bias perhaps they could fire up the ole grey matter and analyse whether what they're being spoonfed actually makes any sense.

Their airport security is far better than the Brits. Regardless of what you think of them in other areas. Our airports are shite in comparison.

I cant see it...

If there was any arrangement being made I think it would be the US Marshals Service that would be doing that sort of work.

After all they are the ones who are tasked with returning wanted people to the appropriate US jurisdiction.

No everything in the newspapers is made up and all lies and half truths, where as everything that's said on the fab forums is all true, yes of course it is.

Think about what was funny. It's clear I wasn't laughing at what I said was 'the world's worst' terrorist attack. So try and sensibly work out WHAT I was laughing at.

And you were looking for an argument.

So, I'll leave it there.
