Another question from the timeout sex survey.....

"We're just friends" means different things to guys and girls.

Can men and women ever be just friends? Well, of course they can! But as it turns out, that's often due to women's disinterest in their male friends.

We asked (straight) men and women the following question...

"Current relationships aside, would you sleep with your best opposite-sex friend?"

Men:- Definitely - 33%, Probably - 32%, Doubtful - 19%, Good Grief, no - 16%

Women:- Definitely - 11%, Probably - 23%, Doubtful - 29%, Good Grief, no - 37%

Men are three times more likely to say they'd 'definitely' tap that just-good-friend, while twice as many women exclaimed 'good grief, no' at the very prospect. All in all, 64% of men gave a positive answer, while 66% of women gave a negative one.

I'm not sure... I've fucked friends but for the guy I consider my male BEST friend I guess it would depend on whether we were completely on the same wave length (as in, could they cope with it, would they develop feelings, become awkward, or would they let it somehow change the dynamics of the relationship?).

If they could just take it as sex and it changed absolutely nothing about the way we were when we hung out, than sure. I'd consider it.

My best male friend has been my friend since we were 18. We slept together when we were about 23 and again when we were 30. We are still best mates, he is married now and bless his wife that she has no problems with our friendship. He is my son's godfather too.

Our friendship lasted because that is what we both decided was more important than having sex with each other

I'd say good grief no - as I consider him to be the brother I never had. I'd never want that to change, as I talk to him about everything.. He even loves clothes shopping with me!
